kooky and dishonorable Kenmore Gas Range, Model number 790.79423600, SN VF64668496. Heats up nicely. Holds temp beautifully. but if you open the door? Turn on the light? BEEEEEEEP, and PF on the clock. Opening the door is nice to be able to do, what with putting things IN or taking things OUT or even just checking for doneness? BEEEEEEEP, and PF on the clock. But if you press stop, you can reset it to bake, and it hits temp right away (duh, since its still hot), and will work fine until you open the door or turn on the light. Wierd, huh? Any help humbly and greatfully accepted from the masters of applianceology!

Could be a bad door switch,or EMF effect in timer/control - reroute wiring that is close to back of control
