Well, after not having ice for a long time, then finding this site and gaining some appliantologist insight, I decided to take a crack at the infamous and perilous icemaker. I followed the trouble-shooting guide that master samurai provides. Water valve is OK (wire jumping V and L), Control unit goes through harvest cycle (wire jumping T & H) and water doesn't fill the first time, but does the second time after dissasembling and reassembling the module! After nearly losing my mind and several beverages later, my head tilts and I look at the dial in the module (see diagram below). In the center of that dial are two little plastic fingers that are supposed to hold the dial to the module. They had cracked slightly and lost their tension that allows them to hold the dial in place. When the dial began turning, it pushed away from the module and the electronic connections on the back side of the dial came away from their contacts. Hence, randomly causing no more workee in the middle of the cycle. If you remove the dial and the module, the cracked plastic piece is accessible and removable. The trick is finding a replacement part for this tiny little plastic annoyance. Since I'm having such a hard time finding it, I may just reinforce the cracked area with super glue and reassemble. Any tips on how to find that little piece is appreciated.

The only way to get another one is from a used icemaker module, they do not sale parts of the module head individually. You can sometimes find a complete new icemaker cheaper then the new module. Check around at any of your local appliance repair shops and ask if they have an old icemaker, if you're lucky and they have lots of them, they may give your one or expect to pay at least $10-$30. Also check Ebay, your maybe able to find a complete icemaker for a very reasonable deal.

BAR, Found a used icemaker, almost identical, at a local family shop for $30. Since the whole front module was easier to swap out, that's what I did. Works like a charm now. Thanks! Medic
