Your model doesn't use a Timer ... Use the flow-chart in your service manual that I posted earlier.

I used that flow chart because the Samurai posted and told me to Should I have him come and spill his entrails???lol.It looks to be the same except where the one he told me to use says 'defective timer', the one in the manual you posted says, 'defective control board'. This is the part you posted for me earlier, yes?: page 2 & 3, Diagram #27 134208200 Frame, control console, with membrane If so, it is the part I ordered and Frigidare is completely ou, so they had to order more from the factory (or so I was told by both part suppliers here in town).

I am now completely baffled. Readings between pin 6 on the six-pin and pins 1,2,6,9,10 on the ten-pin read 120V. I asked this earlier, but it might have gotten lost. Will it affect my readings that I cannot set the washer to the heavy cycle? It is set at the 'normal' cycle because the contact at the touch pad is trashed and I cannot change that setting (which is why I ordered the control console).

I'm baaaacck. I installed the new control console, which seems to work perfectly. However, the drum still does not turn and the washer does not drain. Sooooo....I went to the 'does not drain flow chart' (which I couldn't use before because the non-functioning control console meant I could not switch to the 'drain cycle') and when I touch the 'drain/spin' button the drain pump does run. Does this mean the drain pump is bad? Also, is the drum supposed to start to turn right away? I didn't want to leave it running to find out because it sounded like the pump might be bad. Pump could be jammed with gookus, not getting voltage, or may be FUBAR.

I took the pump completely apart. Well, I didn't take the impeller itself out of the pump, but I did take the pump out and took apart the two pieces to make sure nothing was stuck in the impeller (which there wasn't). Will the bad pump keep the drum from rotating? If the pump is not getting voltage it will still run? Last edited on Tue Nov 10th, 2009 10:43 pm by Helene |
