I replaced the gas valve coils yesterday and it seems to be working just fine now. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped. Last edited on Sun Oct 25th, 2009 02:51 am by stevem01 |

Ok, I have another problem now... Just before I replaced the gas coils and fixed that problem it was starting to make a sound that has been getting progressively louder and more frequent to the point that it's almost constantly making this sound whenever the dryer is running. It sounds like 'metallic creaking' as the tumbler rotates... like the bearings need replaced or something. I'm going to pull it out and see if I can pinpoint the source, but just from observation where it sits, it sounds like it's coming from behind the main tumbler drum. I looked it up and there is a bearing replacement kit available for it. Should I try that first? (I'll check repairclinic.com and see if they carry it or have it in stock).
