Woke up this morning to a kitchen full of water. Dishwasher appears to be letting water in even when not in use. Slowly fills and then leaks out the front door. Probably a valve or something not shutting off completely. |

Yea, now it won't fill at all. Went from filling when not even on. Got it to drain out, now it won't fill on any cycle. |

Check the voltage at the Water Inlet Valve ... (did you turn the water back on) ? |

Yes, I did. The overflow tub ended up having water in it and the float turned off the water to the washer. A safety feature that is suppose to keep it from flooding you house. Too bad it didn't work till after it ran water all over the place. Any way I pulled the unit out drained the water out of the Aqua Stop tub. Hooked it all back up and it seems to be working fine. Anyway I called Lowes and they said I can bring it back. They have the next model up that we were kind of looking at when we bought this one. The next model up was like a $150.00 more than ours. The guy at the store says it goes on sale for 20% off on Thursday. So only like 60.00 more than the one I have now. He said come in Thusday they will refund the first one I bought no problem and then I just buy the other one on sale. Wife wanted the other model anyway. Maybe this one flooded on us for a reason. Otherwise I would have never known the other one was going on sale this week. Really just didn't want to keep a machine we just got with a problem that needed to be fixed right away. Turned the water off to the machine we have now. Will run one more load through it tonight (seems to work fine right now) Then unhook it before I go to bed and load it in the truck, get up and make the trip to Lowes in the Morning. I do think it was the valve you talked about, but with it being intermitent, don't know when it might happen gain. Can't leave the water turned on to it with out worrying that it would do the same thing again. Hope we have better luck with the next unit. I appreciate your input. Thanks. |

If it's rust or sediment from your pipes, the new D/W may do it also .. |

Could be true. But the old dishwasher was fine for many years. And I had unhooked it an re installed a few times during a kitchen remodel and it never had a problem. So hopefully the next one won't either. Will be sure to flush the line before I hook the new one up. Thanks again! |
