|It was a no-go with Whirlpool support. They said they would recommend a tech, but if I couldn't come up with my original receipt for the tech's inspection I would be charged full price for the service call. And this after I told them that I had just moved and couldn't find the box containing my receipt.
I tried pleading my case that it was a known issue with the product - even gave them the service pointer info - but they still said too bad. I even said I don't need a tech, just send the part -- they pretty much told me no freakin' way. Ahh well - you live and learn.
So I still would like to know...
-Is there a way to test to see if the pressure-switch is clicking over while the machine is running?
-Is there a way to test to see if it is the door?
-Would replacing just the latch accomplish the same as replacing the whole door?
-Why would the washer even fill to above the door level if it wasn't getting confirmation that the door was latched?
-If it was the Start button, why would it always quit at the same point?
Thanks guys! Just don't want to replace that entire door if I can avoid it!
