I have a GE PSS25MGNA BB side-by-side fridge. After returning from vacation this past week, it was working fine, but the freezer section showed signs that it had thawed everything and refroze. Then a few days ago, after about a week since the last thaw (I'm guessing) we found that everything in the freezer had thawed again, and the ice had all melted into water. That night, after several hours (and cleaning everything out and throwing it away), it started working again and was -10 degrees again now for three days. It sounds normal and appears to be cooling properly when it runs. I'm wondering if it is going into defrost mode and not cycling back to normal. Based upon numerous threads here, I'm wondering if it is the motherboard and/or temperature sensors??? I would suspect the thermistor? Before asking dumb questions, I wanted to run diagnostics on it which threads here suggest are available, but all the links that show how to run them appear to no longer be valid. Can anyone post current links, or is the solution here obvious to the experienced? It's running fine now, but I'm guessing it will do it again in the next few days. Thanks for any help.
