 I could see how pulling out the drain hose is an easier task.

What do you mean screws?

Also, when facing the washer, the drain hose attached to my current malfunctioning pump is situated to the left of the pump. The drain hose on Part 724 http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=i724&PartID=724 appears to be on the right side. My hose might not fit to the right as it will push against the wiring and the side of the washer. Can this be rotated?
