I need some help choosing a tankless water heater. I am looking for a not-too-expensive solution. (tankless are inherently expensive in know) Small house, 1500sqft. 2 bath our front loader washing machine has an internal heater for the cloths so that is not a concern. We just need hot shower and dish water. I understand I will need to change the exhaust pipe to stainless steel. But I need to know a good brand and size so I can start browsing craig's list. Thank you

Nice, very helpful. I was looking at these new types of pipe connectors... Sharkbite. Can anyone give me some thoughts on if they are worth the time and energy to bother with? Thank you

I know up here in the frozen north of Canada poeple run two heaters. One as a pre heater and the other just to bring it up to temp.I have seen on the web adds for small under counter electric units.Just to throw a wrench into the pile mabey go with two small electic units. The tankless system is front heavy $$ wise but if you are staying in the house for 8 years or more you will make money on them.
