This washer quit spinning (agitator works) . I found some metal pieces in the bottom of the drum . I then removed the agitator and saw that the drum hub was coming apart (so no drum agitator connection ) . What was the cause ? Will replacing the drum hub take care of the problem (and other things to troubleshoot and replace when I repalce the drum hub ? Where do I find a brief tutorial on the R&R for the drum ) - Thanks

The better name for the part is basket support hub or tub support hub .
