Normal light blinks and beeps. Reset button does nothing. Aux drain pump runs continuously. No other button presses do anything. Sequencer? Circuit board/button? Thanks.

should be a tech sheet hidden either behind the kick plate or sometimes tucked up on one side of the tub near the bottom where it can be reached without pulling the machine from the wall someone with GE access might post one, you might wanna look for yours in the mean time and post back what the sheet says the blinks mean is the tub full or empty?

I've been looking for the sheet - I used to have it but no more. I usually scan these things too and of course no copy. Tub is empty, it appeared to have finished a cycle when this happened (tub was warm from heater). I've pulled the sequencer apart and it is all in working order. I moved the 'program' cam to where all the contacts are open and of course the aux pump isn't running now. I checked the circuit board and there are no obvious faults. In the process of cycling power I happened to get the sequencer drive motor to run but the normal light is still blinking. I can 't get the motor to run again however. Does anyone know of any inputs the logic is looking for that could cause this behavior? Thanks.

i can only give generic answers without the tech info first step is to check the float, you should hear a click when you raise/lower it some GE machines will run the drain pump non-stop once the float reaches its flood position next turn off breaker to machine to cycle power and retry the unit after that we are waiting for one of my bretheren to post tech info i'm the frigidaire guy here, i have no access to GE info

master Reg came through again i see The NORMAL LED will flash and control will beep when the sequence switch is not reaching its target position within 30 seconds 1. Check connections between the sequence switch and control 2. Replace sequence switch 3. Replace contol i'd check the float before changing expensive controls and to be honest, i wouldn't advise putting much money into a GE dishwasher, darn things are as noisey as a tractor

BrntToast wrote: master Reg came through again i see Indeed - thank you very much for the information. The float isn't a logic input, the solenoid power just runs through it. It is operating ok. I'm trying to find a schematic for this family and not having any luck. I am majorly annoyed at losing mine. I will continue to investigate the sequencer and control relationship. I want to try and get the unit to home and re-evaluate itself but I can't get the motor to run anymore, just the one time I noticed it trying to home. I tried setting everything up exactly as the doc that RegUS_PatOff posted suggests, but to no avail. Thanks again.

RegUS_PatOff wrote: another page from 31-9034 You, Sir, rule. Thank you very much. I find I am getting -5V when measuring the non-motor pins against the 5 VDC common pin. I am not certain if I am measuring a 'false' TTL low signal (why negative tho?) or of there is something with this? Looks like time for a new board and/or sequencer. Do I need to use a referral link or will straight to repairclinic.com work? Thanks.
