I am having trouble with my GE wcsr2070tbww it will not agitate. When the machine is running I can hear the motor running it's just not moving the agitator. Now, I have done extensive research on agitators and have broken a belt trying to remove this one. So it is with my last gasp of frustrated air that I come to you for help. What should I do next??

Ok I opened the front cover and ran a cycle, there are no lights ( I don't think this is a Hydro) the motor and belt work fine in wash & spin. I can see that the shaft inside is turning during wash. Now my next steep is how do I get the darn agitator off. It won't pull off, I broke a belt using the belt and 2x4 method. When I remove the top of the agitator (fabric softener cup) there is a plastic cover but I can't seem to get it off. What's the next steep?? Thanks again for your help.

Hello, my unagitated friend. Perhaps our effluvious host was partaking of a bit too much of my country's national product when he referred to inverter lights. You are correct, your model does not have an inverter. As for the agitator, you are struggling with the effects of an oxidation-reduction reaction generically referred to as "rust." The prescription is perseverance and perspiration.

Ok for some reason I cant start a new Topic so I will continue here. I have run into trouble with this machine again. My loving wife washed a body pillow and the "UL" shook the washer like nothing we've ever seen before. Causing the timer to break where the screw holds it in and shift so it wouldn't spin & just kept running. So I took off the panel an got the timer back to normal and started her up again. during the spin cycle again it went crazy and then completely stopped. Now when I run the mach. it fills and makes the noises like a normal cycle bit nothing turns, no agitation and no spin. when I get home I will try to spin it with out the belt but I wanted to ask for any trouble shooting tips before I give up on it.
