Thanks Pegi.... The part I'm looking for isn't showing up.........AAAAAAHHHHHHH... It would be the whole timer assembly as that would be the easiest to replace... Is there anyone who might have a Maytag DG608 that they are using for parts...?

First of all, do you know for sure it's the timer switch that is your problem. This unit doesn't have a timer like most machines, this is one of Maytag's first electronic control models. If my memory is correct and from looking at the pictures, this unit doesn't have a timed dry cycle, only different dryness levels, is this correct? At different dial settings when knob is pushed in to start it pushes different sequences of buttons on the timer selector control switch then everything else is done thru the circuit board, when the load is determined to be dry it sends a signal to the solenoid to ring the bell and reset all timer control switches which shuts down the dryer. Unless you have actually checked the switch module that the timer dial activates and determined that you have a problem there I would be more inclined to think the circuit board is bad. What kind of actual problem are you having? Does the machine must keep on running forever? If so then the first things to check are the wires to ground from the dryness sensor in front to make sure one sensor strip has a good ground, then check the wire to the other sensor strip and make sure it is good all the way to the circuit board. It has been so long since I've worked on one of these I don't remember the actual number of seconds, but with no clothes in drum and set on damp dry, when you push start it should run for something like 10 to 20 seconds and then shut off. Here's a better picture of all the consule parts and you can't just order a timer, (because there really isn't a timer), you have to order the individual components that you need. Circuit Board 304478 $59.98 CLICK HERE Selector Control Switch 304473 $47.99 CLICK HERE Just remember the above parts supplier will not take back electrical parts if they don't fix your problem like RepairClinc will, but unfortunitely it doesn't look like RepairClinc carries these parts. And as far as finding another old Maytag that uses these same controls to get parts out of, GOOD LUCK, I don't think you're going to find to many more of these left out there.
