Well, I definitely know that I need a new suspension balance spring, one end (probably where it was touching the part that corroded) is very very thin..............

I also think i need something black and rubbery.........maybe a belt?  there are rubber marks and what looks like rubber residue...........i will post pics later........also looks like maybe grease on the floor right underneath where the greasy parts of the washer sat..............normal or abnormal???

:) Koby

No need-- that's a deteriorated drive coupling. Replace it.

Don't worry about that. Get the spring re-anchored and replace the drive coupler. Good to go, buddyrow.

The black rubber thing is part of the coupler. Post a picture of what you're looking at.
