I need the wiring diagram for an old (30+ years?) Signature dryer.
The back cover with the diagram and the model number is missing. The motor is a GE 5KH45ER552S.
I need the diagram because parts of the wiring was rejiggered in the past in an attempt to get it to work, so now I have no idea which wires are in the right place and which ones aren't. And of course I got it because it still doesn't work.
The motor indicates it can use either 115  or 220 but doesn't show which lugs are to be connected for which voltage.

Update: some more potentially useful identifying information...at the bottom of the control panel is says "Automatic Velvet Heat" and above and to the right of the control dial there is the word "sixteen" with the number 16 over it. There is something on the bezel below this but other than the word "gas" it is too oxidized to read.

Thank you for the reply.

I am trying to get the motor to run. There are two wires, one red and the other white which connects to two lugs on the motor terminal block. I'm guessing it's supposed to be connecting the open end of the run and start windings, but which terminals?

I did find a wiring diagram for another GE 5KH series motor on this site but it was in a washing machine and none of the wire colors match so it wasn't much help.

The plug is a 115 three prong so it must have been wired for 115. The only reason I think it may be able to be wired for 240 is that the motor terminal block mentions both (xxA 120-250V) I don't remember right now what the "xx" number is.

is it a compact dryer or standard size? Usually only the compacts are wired for 120v.

It is the same size(width & height) as the top loading heavy duty cycle washing machine sitting next to it...so standard size?
