I ran across the linked article below in an engineering trade journal I get. Do any of the appliance guru's have a comment? http://www.designnews.com/blog/Made_by_Monkeys/23933-Corrosion_Outbreak_on_Whirlpool_Machines.php?nid=3073&rid=9586393 Unfortunately (?) I bought my wife one of these last year. Is this what I have to look forward to?

Good article. If it makes you feel any better, it's a common problem on the Frigmores, too: http://fixitnow.com/wp/2009/05/19/frigidaire-kenmore-front-loading-washer-knocks-and-shakes-during-high-speed-spin/
