I've boogered up the front seat where the strainer seals onto  the pump housing, and I need to replace the housing in order to stop it from  leaking (I'm going to try a thicker gasket this weekend, but I'm doubtful that will work).

I'm wondering how difficult a job this will be? From the part picture, I can't tell if the housing has the impellar attached or not. Getting that to seal would seem to be a problem if it is not already attached.

Ah, sorry. I've been away.

It's the entire housing. The part that the trap slips into.

It is an easy job. I just replaced a pump motor and the hoses to the body which meant the body came out too. It is necessary to take the back of the washer and lie it on its side. Make sure it is empty first (drain the needle trap and empty the fabric conditioner tray) Asko have a habit of leaving a folded circuit diagram shoved behind the main controller PCB. If it gets wet it causes interesting effects such as the dial spinning through all the cycles in around 20 seconds.
