I am in need of a repair or troubleshooting guide for a Roper electric dryer REX5634KQ1.

The dryer seems to turn on, but will not turn.  Possibly a belt issue.  The machine belongs to a friend and I have not made it to his house to look at it yet.  Looking for the guide to give me a heads up at what I will be dealing with.

Thanks, Ramon

Okay I got the belt, tension pulley and wheels and the unit worked like new.  My friend is happy and so is his wife.  When we tested the unit I opened the door to shut the unit off, but it did not shut off.  So does it mean that the door switch is bad?

Ok.  So the only test is to open the door while its running and if it does not shut off then replace the switch.  I am finding it facinating that door switches go bad quite frequently.  Even though I am certain I plugged the switch back in when I reaseambled the machine, if I did not will that cause the problem also?

No, if the switch was unplugged, the dryer would not run
