Currently looking at this Maytag Neptune washer. The control lights up, the start button blinks but does not respond. Not sure if this would be a touch pad problem or a control board issue. Any help out there with this problem? Checked the control board for any obvious problem none found. The ribbon looked ok, no obvious marks. Hope to hear from you!

Do the motor phase test in the service manual that Reg linked you to.

Door switch tested ok, the control is frozen. You cant change anything, also the display  for the timer is slightly dim in areas. Have not come across this type of problem with this machine before. Door lock wouldn't cause that problem would it?
