I may need to replace my pump. It does not extract water anymore and simply lets off a humming sound. What is the replacement part id for this pump? Thanks.

It may just have something jammed in it stopping it from turning. If nothing is jammed in the pump and it turns by hand, but has a lot of side play in the impeller shaft then you will need to replace the pump. on this model i remove the drain hose but not the tub to pump hose when cleaning due to it being such a PITA to put the clamp back on with out it leaking. you can get to the screws no problem with the hose still on

I could see how pulling out the drain hose is an easier task. What do you mean screws? Also, when facing the washer, the drain hose attached to my current malfunctioning pump is situated to the left of the pump. The drain hose on Part 724 http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=i724&PartID=724 appears to be on the right side. dont try to rotate anything. there are about 4 screws that hold the pump motor to the housing that can be removed for cleaning.

the replacement pump can be dismantled and the outlet rotated 180 degrees to face the correct way

In my weird world , I throw that stupid clamp away and get a proper clamp and a 5/16 nut driver. Watch yourself on the sharp metal edges.

Pump used: 131268401  Not the standard pump we're used to dealing with in these machines, doesn't come apart in the same manner as the new style and my post about the rotor shaft whouldn't pertain to this style of pump either. Most likely just needs cleaned out.

fwiw needle nose vise grips work much easier on that hose clamp than hose clamp pliers

That pump, Part# 131268401 is your exact part. It will mount up correctly using the old mounting bar off the old pump. Have you removed your pump and checked for obstructions yet? Can you turn the pump by hand, (turn the fan blade on the back of pump), don't force it if it doesn't want to turn. There is probably something stuck in it. Use a wet/dry vacuum and suck all the water out by placing the vacuum nozzle on the end of the drain hose. That way you won't get a flood of water when you remove the pump.

The old pump may be too far gone. I did clean out some small obstructions but it still will not move easily. I installed the new pump and everything works great. The pump has a notch which allows one to rotate the outlet. I also replaced the clamp. It was not difficult to remove the hose but putting them back on was a chore and hence the new clamps. Thanks everyone.
