The sensor works off wet clothes hitting it.  If something gets balled up and does not hit the sensor for a while (sheets, pant legs, etc.) and then unwraps and starts hitting it, it will increase time.  The unit is designed to do that.  Now if the unit is never shutting off on that cycle, that is a different story.  Just about all units with digital displays such as this will add time if necessary.  Not sure why you never noticed it prior, maybe you just never caught it.  If the unit is not shutting off, we will need to check a few things.  Se description of this cycle on page 5 of the use and care.  When it talks about time may fluctuate, that can be up or down.

I understand  that is how it is suppose to work, but I did two loads this
morning, both were dry before the time was up,and both had a fair
amount of time left on the display.I usually keep an eye on the time
and it was not doing this before the last week or so.

Will the unit shut off on it's own?  If it does not, Houston we have a problem.  If it does, could be a setting, air flow or possibly a film has built up on your sensor.

Try clicking the dryness level down one notch.

Venting, even though the time is directly related to the moisture in the clothes, not the temp, the time can be extended by lack of air flow.  A $1000 dryer on a $5 vent is a $5 dryer.  Unit should be vented with 4" rigid duct, not tin foil or vinyl flex.  What worked for 6 months might be clogged with lint slowing down your air flow. Tech sheet is below (enter your model) on how to test circuits if you feel it is malfunctioning

Will have to check if unit will shut off by itself.Cleaned the vent this morning
before using. It had a small amount of lint.

Thanks for the link,
I did a test a got code 10 which is:No Wet Clothes.It recommends running
the dryer with no wet clothes in the sensor dry cycle.Does this make sense?.

Yes it makes sense.  Boards will count down differently.  With no clothes, some will jump down in 10 minute intervals every minute till 0, others will count down normal for 3-5 minutes then drop right down to cool down (7-3 minutes depending on board programing).  Yours did exactly what it should do.  Also, the boards count every few loads and recalculate the average set point.  That is why some times it might say for argument sake 50 minutes for normal dry to start, but if your on a crappy vent, that time could start to climb up to 60, 70, whatever.  If your on a great vent, it could decrease, but the board is always taking the averages of the last few cycles as a starting guideline then adjusting as it needs.

The code for 10 means a sensor dry cycle completed without ever seeing wet clothes hit the sensor.  When you ran the unit prior by itself, and it shut off, we created this code.  If you did not clear it, it will remain there pretty much forever.  You can test the sensor circuit by following the checks outlined on page 3 of the System Check.  With nothing across the sensor it should read 0 for Open, with a penny or set cloth held against it the display should change to 1 for Short.  This will tell you if the sensor and circuit are working correctly.  You might have to get a meter and check it.  When you have clothes in the unit, will it shut off?  Also,  do you have wrinkle prevent selected by any chance?

CODE 10: Sensor bar detects no wet clothes while a Sensor Dry Cycle

May be bad Sensor.

Tested the sensor, checked out fine. Then I remember about fabric softener
buildup on the lint screen and thought why couldn't that happen to the sensor.
Wiped off sensor with damp sponge, put in a load and it counted down like
it should.Hopefully this is it.
