This washer doesn't spin in the spin cycle, it agitates! Timer cam 6 should be closed but its open. Thats the only thing that doesn't check out. Replace timer and trans?:shock:

I agree with NCSU_laundry_tech, probably just a bad Timer.

During Agitate, the Motor turns in one direction.

If the Motor turns in the other direction, the Transmision goes to Spin.

It's the Timer's job to reverse the Motor Start Windings.

If one of the contacts on Cam 6 is stuck, it may not let the other side of the Switch operate, hence no Motor reversal, no Spin.

You may be able to open the Timer and clean that contact...

I replaced timer, no change. Still agitates when it should spin. Trans change?
