I have had this dryer for about 7 years and it has developed the dreaded squeal I have seen described by some others brands/models.  It also seems to go off balance very easily and start thumping heavily.

I have been trying to locate the infamous rear drum bearing and 'plastic slides' to no avail either locally or online.  I have not taken the unit apart yet and so the various exploded diagrams I find online have been of no use to me.  yet on this site I did find a bearing kit for about $40 but the 'plastics slides' (better known as guides I suppose) had 2 different parts listed.

Any help for the part numbers needed to get this thing quiet again and where to get them would be very helpful.  Thanks in advance very much.

you need 2 of each part number glides(4 total). may want to take front off to make sure its only the glides damaged before you order anything

ok I took it apart....much to my surprise I found a zipper (that upon inspection my daughter informed me was from a jacket of hers) was wedged between the drum and the front bearing drum slide....riding round and round I suppose tearing everything apart. 3 of the 4 slides/glides are missing and there is a nice groove in the top half. After cleaning everything out with a shop vac I reassembled and started it up....its pretty quiet but I can hear it scrapping on that upper front bearing.....no squealing though.

So I'll order that front assembly and the slides.....anything else I should replace whilst in there? The bottom half of that front bearing has some wear on it but its not tore up like the upper half plus the lower half is 65 bucks......

I replaced the front upper bearing and new slides and all is good. Reason I'm writing again is that anyone who needs these parts needs to shop around. These little dinky plastic/teflon slides go for 7 bucks each and 4 are needed on my dryer plus the upper bearing goes for another 35 or so. On ebay I found the bearing with 4 slides for $18 plus $8 for shipping...........shop around.
