ok....you helped me fix my refrigerator and mission accomplished ok now...the washer starts out fine.....but once it gets to that 6min cycle it starts to make a clicking noise....click click...click click....clik click...then it stops for about a minute and moves on to the next cycle.....but then when it gets to the rinse cycle it makes the clicking noise again while it fills up with water...and then when it goes to the final spin it finally stops clicking......i hope you know what im talking about...hehehehe.....any way what do you think the problem is?......thanks lucyyyy

This is one of the newer GEs with the console that looks like a traditional timer and switches but is, in fact, a circuit board. ![]() Lots of LEDs to tell you where it is in the cycle. Like Manny says, we need to know where the noise is coming from. Tell us what you see, what you hear.

I think the noise is coming from on the inside of the washer..like the actual basket..also it starts doing it at the end of the wash cycle right before it goes into the rinse cycle...it sounds like a metal click click...and is accompanied by a slight thump thump....... thanks

but it might be a timer click click.....i hear the noise stronger when i listen to it from the right side of the washer....its a loud click click that you can hear if your in another room and it happens when the washing machine ends its wash cycle and is about to go into a rinse cycle...did i mention that there is also a thump thump noise involved?

If the noise is coming from the right side down low then I would suggest removing the front panel, (use a putty knife between top and front panel about 3" in on each side to release front clips and remove front panel). You will find the pump down on the bottom of the washer in the front right corner, see if the noise is coming from the pump. Most likely something like a coin or possibly a bra under wire has gotten lodged in the pump.
