I fixed a bad L2 connection (new cord and wire repair and terminal block) 2 weeks later it burned up again at the terminal block..(same problem) connections on burner sw's look good, can't figure out what I am missing here...examined whole harness for problems and found nothing obvious.
Is this unit under recall? What is the correct amp draw for these burners?

Thanks
Dave

If it drew too much current, it should've blown the House Breakers.

It may be the (now) tarnished Range Ring Terminal that connects to the Terminal Strip and Power Cord.

If copper overheats, it gets tarnished and is no longer a good conductor and should be replaced.

Electrical connections burn because 1) too much current draw for the connection or 2) the connection was loose. Like Reg said, if it was drawing too much current, the breaker woulda tripped... assuming the breaker is the correct size, no larger than 30 amps.

That leaves loose connection, nut not tightened down enough.
