The touch control is area is faulty in that you can't get some of the numbers to respond to setting the temperature and start button.  They respond inconsistently.

It appears there is a control ERC somewhere in there and then the glass touch assembly.  How do you know which one is faulty or which one to replace?

I've also wondered how these glass touch pads work since you are not really depressing anything.

this is a static touchpad you should begin by checking the ribbon connector at the touchpad.

Thank you.  What is a sign of a bad ribbon connector? Is there a way to test them?

I had another call yesterday (Kitchen Aid Range) with same type of touch pad, the whole control is dead, but elec burners work.  I will post this topic as well.

Thank you

Make sure the TouchPanel is clean.

The Service Manual mentions checking the Ribbon Cable per the Pinout Chart, but there's no chart in the manual.

Sad but true. Instead they implicitly direct you to the tech sheet for that particular oven. Do you have this? It's cleverly hidden inside the oven, usually in the control panel for wall ovens.
