| I live in a rental unit that has an older JennAir range and the previous people had removed model # tag. (Makes it fun to order parts) However I am in need of some Samurai MOJO to fix my problem. My right front burner went out and stopped heating while my wife was making boiling bottles for homemade jelly. I went out with burner to local parts store and they sold me a new burner. Installed burner no heat and wife going loco, I removed and tried again (stupid me had power still plugged in) and it popped and tripped breaker. Wife really going to go Kung Fu on me, I reset breaker and unit continues working like it had. Next day I lift up top and find wire is loose and I removed clamp http://www.repairclinic.com/referral.asp?R=154&N=3374 and it was very corroded and falling apart. Tip of loose wire also appears to be very fragile as it was coming apart in my hands. I stripped wire down a little bit and it appears to be good about 3 inches down from rotten part. My question is do you trained samurai assassins think that this part kit listed above will fix my problem or will I need to replace entire length of wire as well due to popping that burner made?

That should take care of ya, but if this is one of the JennAir's with the cartridge plug in modules, I would suggest you use this kit instead: OEM part# 12001676
http://www.repairclinic.com/referral.asp?R=154&N=400645
It has a ceramic block that holds up to the heat that is trapped in those modules that have no air flow with everthing packed so tightly together in them.

| Do you think the burner is still ok with the popping of it when I put it in and breaker getting tripped? I think when I pushed it in a second time the wire came loose and that is what made the popping and the flash

As Robby said, "It should be fine".
Just make sure the ends of the element that plugs into the recepticle block are nice and smooth, (not pitted/burnt/arched from bad recepticle contacts).
