Ten years old and have never had a problem with it...but recently has developed thin layer of ice on interior back wall of fridg just above ice maker & tray...ice goes up about 8 or 9 inches.  Should i turn it off and then take off panel over coils (or whatever they are) and clean them or what??

How do you get the interior back panel off?  Don't see a latch, screws or there to "unhook" the panel.

from the SubZero 500 Series Service Manual (may be needed later)

1. Remove the overhead light shield by grasping the back edge of the shield and pulling forward to release, then drop the front edge out of the channel.

2. Remove the two screws from the fan guard and lift out. Tilt the evaporator cover out at the top and lift off of the posts at the bottom.

Thanks very much.  Frosty about 8 inches across and not quite half way down.  Looks like I'll need a new evaporator.

This is a classic problem on Sub Zero units. Supposedly, newer units are now past this but...  The crux of the issue stems ffrom a copper cap line going into an aluminum evaporater. Without going into dissimilar metal thermal expansion coefficients, leaks develop at that point. Almost always resulting in an evap replacement. Tried using Superseal (tm) to close up the leak with only marginal results. The customer had that evap changed out anyway.
