Sorry about my previous problem description - it was not correct.
The actual problem is everything is too cold. We have the freezer set to -3, and the temp gauge shows -11, and the fridge seems to run all the time. We are also getting some ice on the fridge side -
Thanks!

| Hello, my frigid friend. Have you checked the resistance values of the thermistor in the fresh food compartment? Perhaps the attached document, provided by our flatulent host, Samurai Appliance Repair Man, will assist you in this endeavor. May Allah make your meter needle steady! For the record, my dear friend, Moostafa, I'm not nearly as flatulent as I was back in my CIA days when we worked together with the Mujahideen fighting the Soviet infid.., er, I mean,... Soviets. Mrs. Samurai doesn't tolerate it like the hardy, yet nubile Afghani women did.

| Wow! Great find, RR! Look how young and beautiful I was back then. Alas, the bloom is off the rose. Also, you can see that my former comrade-in-arms, Moostafa, has always struggled with an unlucky visage.

| Excellent! Any insightful tips on getting to the thermistor so I can test it?

from the 30-9097 Service Manual: "The actual temperature display is based on the temperature that the main control board sees from the thermistor."
If it thinks it's -11F and it's still running... Controller Board
"All thermistors can be checked using Diagnostic Mode."

hmm.. I'm agreeing with your conclusion - the freezer temp display does say -11, and the freezer is not shutting off.
Soooo.... do I attempt the controller board replacement? Where does one get such a part?

Thanks for the part tip - I did run the diagnostic from the previous post, everything passed except for the communication check with the dispenser, but this one does not have a dispenser, so that's ok, right?
Also - I heard noises on the dampers test, sounded familiar. I did not hear anything on the duct door test.
On the HMI Temperature control test, all the LEDs lit up, but I could not figure out how to exit the test (the display was blank) - so I cycled power on the fridge.
I did notice some ice and water on the upper left corner of the fresh food side, I think that's where the dampers are.
I'm pretty sure I could replace the controller board - do you think it's definitely the problem (sounds like it to me)
Basically the freezer is too cold - but if the duct/dampers were sticking or frozen, might it caue the same symptom. Do you have a spec on how to expose the dampers and ducts?
Whee - lots of stuff - thanks for the help all you fridge guys and gals out there!

Is there a way I can verify the dampers and ducts are working? I'm thinking if they were frozen, I might have this problem, as the freezer cannot make the fresh side cold enough.
If I could see thse dampers and ducts move, that would work, or is there another esy? I do hear things for the dampers when I run the diagnostic, I'd just like to see them. Also, how is the duct different from the dampers - I dont hear anything during the duct test.
